Steelmaking
High MgO for predictable slag and longer refractory campaigns.
In the steel shop, slag needs basicity and MgO saturation so it does not attack the refractory. Flux variability shortens furnace campaigns and destabilizes slag metallurgy, raising cost per tonne of steel.
We supply calcium & magnesium oxide and carbonate (dolomitic lime and limestone) with high magnesium content, acting as flux and MgO source to saturate the slag and protect the lining. The regional silica (5–7%) is offset by the superior refractory protection from magnesium.
Highest Mg content in the region + batch-to-batch XRF consistency + lower logistics cost given the proximity to the South/Southeast.
